Limousine Liberal, winner of the past two Churchill Downs Stakes on Derby Day who was set to try for a third Saturday, fractured a bone in his front ankle Wednesday while galloping at Keeneland, trainer Ben Colebrook said. The injury is career ending but fortunately not fatal. A 7-year-old gelding, Limousine Liberal had nine wins in 27 career starts, totaling more than $1.8 million in earnings.
